Community Description:Tablet weaving, aka card weaving
This is a community about tablet weaving (sometimes called card weaving in the U.S.), a technique for weaving patterned bands where the warp threads pass through holes in (usually) square tablets. The tablets are turned to manipulate the warp, creating the pattern.

Tablet weaving has a very long history, and this community is for everything from reconstructions of bands from Anglo-Saxon burials to that cool technique you figured out last week.
